Environmental Sciences Advanced Placements ( AP Environment Sciences , APES , AP Enviro , AP Environment >, AP Environment , or AP Envi. Sci. ) is a program offered by the College Board as part of the Advanced Placement Program for high school students interested in the environment and natural sciences. The course is designed to provide students with the scientific principles, concepts, and methodologies necessary to understand the abundant relationships in nature, to identify and analyze environmental problems, to evaluate relative risks associated with identified problems, and to examine alternative solutions to resolve and/or prevent similar problems facing the global environment. The percentage of students who scored "5" was only 7.4% in the testing administration 2016. This remains one of the AP "AP" lows to date just below AP Art History, AP English Literature & amp; Composition, English AP & amp; Composition, and World History AP. The AP Test of Environmental Science was first given in 1998.
