Careers

After 11 years designing a line of women's clothing in Paris, Azria moved to Los Angeles, California in 1981 and launched Jess, a series of retail boutiques a new concept for women's clothing.

In 1989, Azria launched BCBG Max Azria, named for the French phrase "bon chic, bon genre," a slang of Paris which means "good style, good attitude". Azria is credited for offering fashion designers at an affordable price and, as a result, was inducted into the American Fashion Designer Board (CFDA) in 1998. The collection of MaxBarria Runway BCBG was first presented at New York Fashion Week in 1996.

Azria also has two collections of famous designers, Max Azria Atelier and Max Azria. Launched in February 2004, Max Azria Atelier is a collection of couture dresses made for celebrity clients and red carpet events. Sharon Stone, Halle Berry, Fergie and Alicia Keys have been wearing labels on the red carpet, as well as the famous Pulgita. During the 2009 award season, Angelina Jolie wore Max Azria to the 2009 Screen Actors Guild Awards and the 2009 Critics Choice Awards. The company purchased a bankrupt G G Retail, which operated the G G and Rave brands, in 2006.

Azria acquired the fashion house Hervà © à © Là ©  © ger in 1998, marking the first time in history that an American designer has acquired a French fashion designer. On May 31, 2017, ZappLight announced that Max Azria joins ZappLight and its parent company Clean Concept LLC as CEO and partner. "Although fashion and technology are fundamentally different, they are more intersecting because they are centered on pushing the boundaries of great design and in inspiring and pleasing consumers.I love to be part of this exciting and exciting new effort to grow ZappLight into a global brand, adopted at home everywhere to prevent virus-carrying insects, "Max Azria said in a statement.

Entrepreneurship at heart, it's natural for 68 years to jump into startup rather than retire. ZappLight is a "2-in-1" LED light bulb and bug zapper. ZappLight interferes with the zapper bug industry that has been around since the 80s. ZappLight's new rotation is incorporating LED lights that attract insects and mosquitoes and serve as an actual bulb, along with the old shock technology. The ZappLight is a bulb and not an entire fixture, which means that homeowners can install it in one of their outdoor light fixtures on the outside.

BCBG Max Azria Group is a global fashion house with a portfolio including more than 20 brands. Max Azria is CEO, chief and chief designer with his wife, Lubov Azria, who acts as chief creative officer.

In 2006, there were more than 550 BCBG Max Azria boutiques worldwide, including locations in London, Paris, Tokyo, Santiago, and Hong Kong. The Azria collection is also sold in specialty stores and major department stores around the world, including Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, God & amp; Taylor, Bloomingdale's, Macy's, Dillard's, Harvey Nichols in England, Lane Crawford Hong Kong, Mitsukoshi Taiwan, and Takashimaya shop in Singapore.

BCBG Max Azria Clothing Group is often featured in major fashion publications such as Vogue , InStyle and Vanity Fair , and on online sites like Gaya. com and iFashion Network.
