Saudi Arabia participated in the 2010 Summer Olympics Summer Games in Singapore.
The state does not allow women to participate in the Olympics, and never send women athletes to the Olympics. Nevertheless, it sent a female competitor to the inaugural Youth Game: Dalma Rushdi Malhas, who competed on horseback and won the only Saudi medal, bronze. The International Olympic Committee has required each national delegation to include at least one female athlete.
