The Palos City Organization Republican is a Republican state level affiliate in Cook County. Since January 2012, has been chaired by Committeeman Sean Morrison. The party is one of two legally formed state parties in Illinois.

Recent Events
In the 2012 and 2014 elections, voters at Palos Township have followed recommendations from the Palos Township Organization of the Federal, State and Local Governments, voting for Republican candidates to virtually all offices.
In the 2014 gubernatorial election, Republican candidate Bruce Rauner defeated current governor, Pat Quinn, across the state to become the first GOP Governor since George Ryan left his post in 2003. In Palos Township, Rauner received 60% of the votes (http://results1114.cookcountyclerk.com/Summary.aspx? eid = 110414)
Organization and leadership
The Palos Municipal Republican organization is run by the Municipal Committee of Palos Township and its Executive Officers team. The committee is elected at the main election every four years by the Republic of Town elector. Its executive team consists of Vice-Committee, Executive Director, Secretary and Treasurer. All members of the executive team are appointed by and serve gladly as members of the Committee.
