Removing stations

I'm removing stations that do not target programming or not based in the Twin Cities or its suburbs. I see there are stations from St. Cloud and Rochester in there. This isn't a list of stations that can simply be heard in the TC area, though they don't have to necessarily be licensed to a town in the TC area. --grejlen - talk 06:33, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Articles for former stations

In revising this userbox (and the one for Template:MSP AM radio, I added articles for past stations. WYOO (U100) now has its own article, as the station occupied two dial positions, and I felt that the content interfered too much with the histories of KDWB and KKMS. This way, the U100 article can be expanded freely, and the other two articles can be more about those frequencies. In addition, I also added an article on WLOL (defunct), which seemed to interfere too much with the current WLOL and MPR's KSJN. This article is primarily about WLOL's top 40 phase in the 80s, but I will likely expand it to other formats. And the fact that the WLOL call letters were used by several other stations in the area is another factor.

I created these two articles in order to expand on the histories of these two incarnations, without adding confusion to the articles of current dial inhabitants.

In addition, I may add other articles. One possibility is the former KDAN, which was a St. Paul station that went dark in the 1980s, and perhaps even WMIN, a set of call letters that seemed to do quite a bit of traveling around the dial, ala WLOL. For former stations that are basically associated with one entity (like KTWN or KJJO), I would rather not create separate articles. --Fightingirish 19:28, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
