Scholarship of Dr Manmohan Singh is an award available to Indian students for doctoral studies at St. John's College at the University of Cambridge and for undergraduate studies at universities. The scholarship is named in honor of Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India. Singh graduated from St. John's College with First in Economics in 1957, went on to earn a PhD from Oxford University in 1962, and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by the University of Cambridge in 2006.

The idea for this award was suggested by Ab Banerjee who is a former Johnian. Banerjee also worked on this plan and attended several dinners with Manmohan Singh.
This is a standard PhD scholarship for a PhD Indian student candidate awarded by the College. The award is designed to benefit the bright and manageable Indian students of the College.
The scholarship program has been funded by BP, Rolls-Royce, Hardeep Rai (a St. John's College alumni) and two anonymous sponsors.
This award is for studying for a doctorate degree in the following subjects:
- Science & amp; Technology
- Economics
- Social Sciences
- Aircraft Engineering
- Marine Techniques
- Energy Studies
Doctor's Qualification Eligibility Criteria
Applicant must:
- Indian citizens with valid Indian passports
- Below 35 years before January 31st in app year
- Holds a Master's (postgraduate) degree from a renowned/recognized Indian university/institution with a First Class award (UG and PG) in the relevant field/field
- Evidence of leadership qualities
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Be able to meet other admission criteria set by university

- Nishit Srivastava (MS in engineering from Jawarharlal Nehru Center for Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore)
- Sudhir Rama Murthy (research partner with Center for Sustainable Technology at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore)
The sixth scholarship recipients were announced in August 2013.
- Rishika Kundra, MSc, Biomedical Science from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Center for Biomedical Research specializing in psoriatic arthritis
- Kedar Pandya, MTech, Aerospace Engineering from IIT Bombay, focuses on the behavior of carbon nanotube ballistic impact (CNT) and resin and composite nanoparticles.
The seventh winner was announced in May 2014.
- Rohit Chikkaraddy (BS-MS Double degree from Indian Science and Research Institute, Pune)
The eighth time winner was declared in June 2015.
- Arya Thampi (BS-MS Double degree from Indian Institute of Educational Research and Education, Pune)
The ninth scholarship recipients were declared in June 2016.

This scholarship is available to Indian undergraduate applicants in any field.
Conditions of Accreditation Degree
Applicants must graduate from India, apply for BA (not BAaff), and must require financial assistance to study at the University of Cambridge.

The value of this scholarship will depend on the applicant's financial requirement level, and the scholarship fund is available.
