Video Template talk:Spider-Man in popular media
Combine discussion of proposal
The Spider-Man in popular media templates has television, movies, theater, actors, newspaper strips, amusement park attractions, parodies, and video games . So, the Spider-Man video game framework is already part of a popular media template. Why make it a separate framework? Spidey 104 contribs 20:05, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
I support him.-5- (talk) 01:07, 16 September 2010 (UTC)
- It might be worth looking to see if WikiProject Video Game has the preferred format since {{Spider-Man video game}} records the release year instead of the platform. Also note that there are {{Spider-Man film series}}. It might be worthwhile to delete the video games and movies section here and add a line for "Expanded topics" to link to the Spider-Man movie series and Spider-Man video games.
On a slightly related note... Based on the consensus of the Actor, the "Actor" section needs to be removed. - J Greb (talk) 01:20, 16 September 2010 (UTC)- It's been a week, so I'll go ahead and point the Template: Spider-Man video game to this template based on consensus. If there are objections, it can be discussed here.-5- (talk) 20:22, September 23, 2010 (UTC)
- I mos def object and it does not appear that the consensus has been reached. Beast from da East (talk) 20:24, October 18, 2010 (UTC)

Even with your terrible grammatical objections there is still a consensus of 3 for one. Please stop restoring edits. It's counter-productive and you can be banned to edit the battle. thanks. Spidey 104 contribs 13:14, October 19, 2010 (UTC)
- A Greb never says he supports him. We already have Spider-Man movie series templates and we need to have video game templates. Beast from da East (talk) 17:53, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

Retitle?
Ok, so this shows up on my watchlist like that every now and then, and I realize that the title of this navbox is pretty lousy. In fact, it's very bad, because comic book is a popular medium, so the title is really non-sensitive content, and somewhat implies that comics are not popular. Now, this is definitely a "other media" template, meaning other than the original medium of comic characters, but I can see someone may find that a bit unclear as well. So I think "Spider-Man Adaptation" if we do not just want to have a title template that matches the article already linked in the header. (This is also a WP link: EASTEREGG, another attack on it.) The Fantastic Four and X-Men templates do say "other media" in their headers (and similar templates for DC characters use "media franchise"), so this is the one- only template to use "popular media" constructions for main comic characters. oknazevad (talk) 00:37, January 5, 2018 (UTC)
