Histori

Swell root is currently located on Canada's west coast in Victoria, British Columbia, on Vancouver Island. The band members consisted of Scott Stanton, Dave Lang, Louis Sadava, and Chris Petersen. In 2006 Swell is currently bringing their band to Matthew James for production. During the recording, Matthew James could not work with their drummer and brought his Chris Patterson studio drummer Chris Peterson, and together they rewrote the drums. Matthew James then rearranged bass and musical parts for the album "Trust Us Now", adding organ, piano, and guitar riffs that launched the first career and contract for distribution. Initially a group of friends gathered and made music, the band began performing in the backyard and on the beach, and has gained popularity through people such as online presence and dedicated Internet fan base. The band has been noted for its authenticity and to remain true to its vibrant roots.

Swell is currently sold out of their first live performances as a band. The band has released an ep, five short songs on the internet that teenagers enrolled in an upper island school got hold of. The band had booked performances at local coffee shops in the hope of playing in front of two or three people but ended up playing in front of a crowded crowd.

The band praised most of their success for their fans, especially the online community. Their song Young and Able (2009) became an internet hit through its population on YouTube. The Internet has contributed significantly to the large flow of Canadian west coast bands in South America, particularly Brazil, where it headlines in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo in 2012.

Swell is currently open for bands such as The Beach Boys, Xavier Rudd, Dispatch, Bedouin Soundclash and The Beautiful Girls, and has made appearances at the 2010 Winter Olympics and Ottawa Blues Festival.

In 2011, Swell Currently placed first on the Vancouver Peak Performance Project, winning the top prize of $ 100,500. The band also played one of the biggest concerts of its kind in Victoria at the Canadian Day concert for 45,000 people at the B.C. Legislature.

The sound of the band combines folk music styles, rock, roots, blues, reggae, and ska. The sound of the band has also been described as "a rock surf."

In 2014, it was announced that the band will release their fourth studio album on May 6, titled Ulysses . The album was produced by Nathan Sabatino (Dr Dog, White Rabbits) at Vancouver's Greenhouse Studios. The first single is the third song on the album, named Rollin '. Rollin 'is also featured in TGR's 2015 unReal feature.

Influences

The band's albums, So I Say , Trust Us Now , and Protect Your Own are inspired by their travel experience. However, people in the lives of bands, friends, strangers, and fans who have been part of their travel and development as an artist have influenced their album, Long Time Ago .
